So on Saturday Jim and I decided to go mountain biking in the Gatineaus, which, according to their website is rated at beginner to intermediate for all trails. So we set off with our bikes to Pink lake with the intention of doing the trail to Mackenzie King Estate and back. We ended up pushing the bikes up the hill for about half of the way there and then on the way back I got this pretty cut.... Turns out (according to the trail markers) that this is a black diamond trail. Ask me how happy I was 600m from finishing the trail when I was thrown from my bike? My right knee is scraped and bruised and I have some awesome purple bruises down my right side in addition to scrapes on both arms (the one pictured being the worst... even after a cleaning and a couple days to start healing). I have a picture of the big mess just after it happened. Those pictures will be uploaded shortly. You can't say I do anything halfway... go big or go home!
