It's been a LOOOOONNG time since I posted. I took 2 weeks off of training. The first week I was recovering from the sickness. After I almost fainted on the treadmill I figured I should be 100% before getting back in routine. The second week I was cramming for my quantum exam.
Last week I got back to it. On tuesday I did a 6.5km run on the treadmill at the Y. The first 20mins were horrible! I lost endurance for sure - I had to slow down the speed and increase the walking breaks. After the first 20-30mins though my lungs were feeling a bit better. I had a lot of energy that day and had a kickass time with the strength training. bigger weights. On thursday I did 5km on the treadmill and 10mins on the elliptical and 10mins on the wave machine followed by a less intense strength training session. Wednesday and Friday I used my free weights at home to do an upper body workout. I missed the weekend long run due to the huge presentation that I had yesterday. Spent way too many hours on that. wow.
I'm looking forward to the runs this week and getting back into my old routine.
